HOUSE INTRO - Milano Fragranze

Milano Fragranze is a young niche fragrance house founded in 2021 by Alessandro Brun with a singular mission: capture the soul of Milan through scent. Rather than chasing abstract concepts, the brand anchors each fragrance in a specific place, moment or cultural detail tied to the city itself. Milan isn’t just the backdrop here, it’s the subject, the mood and the narrative thread that runs through the entire collection.

What sets Milano Fragranze apart is its commitment to place-based storytelling. Each release feels like a vignette pulled straight from the city’s streets, cafés, bathhouses and traditions. These fragrances tend to be refined, atmospheric and thoughtful rather than loud or trend-driven. Notes are chosen to support the story first and impress second, resulting in compositions that feel intentional and emotionally grounded. Collaborations with respected perfumers ensure the concepts are matched by solid execution.

Despite being a young house, Milano Fragranze quickly earned respect for its clarity of vision. There’s no filler here and no sense of chasing hype. Sadly, Alessandro Brun passed away in early 2024, leaving behind a small but meaningful body of work that reflects his passion for slow perfumery and cultural depth. His influence lives on through the fragrances themselves, each one acting as a scented postcard from Milan.

Joe A.’s Starter Pack

Panettone
Sweet bread, dried fruits and warm gourmand notes without going syrupy. Cozy, nostalgic and surprisingly wearable for a food-inspired fragrance.

Diurno
Herbal, mineral and slightly medicinal with a clean, old-world elegance. Feels like stepping into a historic Milanese bathhouse.

Naviglio
Watery notes, soft woods and gentle sweetness with an evening-city vibe. Relaxed, atmospheric and quietly sophisticated.

Milano Fragranze proves that storytelling doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful. When done with care, place and memory can speak volumes. Sometimes a city and a moment are more than enough.

What say you, guys? Have you gotten your nose on any of these, and if so, what’s been your experience? Did any of these scents capture a particular moment or place for you or did one stand out as especially memorable? If you were taking your first olfactory walk through Milan with this house, which fragrance would you start with? Love to hear from ya!
