HOUSE REVIEW - Day Three Fragrances
Day Three Fragrances is a niche perfume house that sprang to life in 2022, thanks to the creative spark of Michael Paul, a former professional magician. Michael's journey from conjuring illusions on stage to crafting scents in the lab is as unexpected as it is fascinating. During his magic shows, he would use fragrances to enhance the audience's experience, like making a paper rose emit the scent of a real flower. This unique interplay between scent and spectacle planted the seeds for his future in perfumery.

The transition from magician to perfumer wasn't part of Michael's original plan. However, the COVID-19 pandemic brought live performances to a halt, giving him time to delve deeper into his passion for blending scents. It was his daughter, Dakota, who nudged him toward turning this hobby into a business. One evening, surrounded by scent strips and bottles, she suggested he start selling his creations. Her perspective—that creating art isn't about competition but about sharing something beautiful—became the foundation of Day Three Fragrances.

Since its inception, Day Three Fragrances has been making waves in the perfume world. The house offers a range of handcrafted, small-batch scents inspired by Michael's Dominican heritage and personal experiences. One standout creation, La Tacita de Café, clinched the Aftel Award for handmade perfumes at the 2023 Art and Olfaction Awards. This recognition underscores the brand's commitment to quality and artistry, making Day Three a name to watch for those seeking unique, evocative fragrances.
