Oh. You said “Takes,” not “Cakes.”
Dang it. Now I’m hungry and confused.

Anyways…“Hot Takes.” This is a term I picked up from the Fragrance Marketplace group on Facebook. Basically, it’s a quick blast of honest thoughts or feelings about a fragrance that usually goes against the popular opinion. A little “spicy truth,” if you will.

I actually like Hot Takes because sometimes I’ve got an unpopular opinion swirling around in my head, but I don’t always feel like typing it out and getting digitally smacked for it. (Facebook comment sections can feel like a gladiator arena where everyone’s wearing Sauvage.)

But here…we can be way more civil, respectful, and chill than the wild west of Facebook. Still, some folks might have a genuine opinion they’re hesitant to share, maybe because it goes against the hype, or they don’t want to be that guy who says, “Uh… yeah, I’m not really into Aventus.” So that’s where the Hot Take comes in. Drop it. Own it. Walk away proudly like you just over-sprayed your best power frag!

What say you, guys? I know some of you have zero issues expressing yourselves; you fire off opinions like you’re spraying an extrait. But others might be a bit quieter, and that’s totally cool. Use a Hot Take to express your honest thoughts! If you want discussion, awesome! If you don’t, that’s fine too, I still want to hear it. Love to hear from ya’!
