Who is Perfumer – Cécile Zarokian

Cécile Zarokian is one of the most exciting and innovative perfumers working in the niche fragrance world today. Born in France, Zarokian developed a fascination with scent early in life and later studied perfumery at ISIPCA, the prestigious perfume school in Versailles. After working with major fragrance houses, she eventually established herself as an independent perfumer, collaborating with niche brands across the globe. Her creative independence allows her to explore bold concepts and unusual ingredient combinations, giving her fragrances a distinctive artistic signature.

Zarokian’s work is admired for its richness, balance, and emotional depth. She has created fragrances for a wide variety of respected niche houses, including Nishane, Amouage, BDK Parfums, and Jovoy. Many of her creations combine lush florals, creamy woods, and spicy accords in ways that feel modern yet timeless. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and fearless experimentation, Zarokian continues to push the boundaries of contemporary perfumery while maintaining an elegant sense of structure and harmony.

Joe A. Recommends:

Nishane Ani – Vanilla with serious personality. Spicy, creamy, and powerful in a way that keeps people coming back for more.

Amouage Royal Tobacco Rich, smoky, and unapologetically bold. This is luxury turned up to eleven, dripping with depth, spice, and presence; Zarokian in full control of power and refinement.

Jovoy Psychedelique – Patchouli done right. Rich, smooth, and hypnotic with a modern polish that keeps it from ever feeling dated.

Cécile Zarokian translates creativity and passion into beautifully crafted fragrances, but… you don’t have to take my word for it! Learn more at the links below!
