Famed perfumer Hamid Merati-Kashani spent his childhood in Isfahan, Iran. Trips to rose fields sparked an early interest in the world of perfumery. As a Principal Perfumer, he currently works with Firmenich, the world’s largest, privately owned fragrance and taste business. Self defined as "Iranian in education and German in the organization," Merati-Kashani’s upbringing has significant influence in his approach to his work. The Middle East and the unique olfactive culture of that region inspire him. Dedicated to his clients, Merati-Kashani believes in Firmenich's motto of "Think Client." He believes in learning from others, believing that "a successful person is an example to follow" Merati-Kashani is also a firm believer in giving back, stating that "the most important thing is to have enough on the table morning, noon, and night. If you have more than you need, give."
